Date: Sunday 24th June
This blitz will focus on transforming a small garden area as part of a larger garden design. The space is planned to be a fruit tree/herb guild.
It will involve removal of a large banksia rose (no thorns), cherry suckers, weed mat and other assorted weeds and grass.
A swale is planned to direct run-off across the area and away from the house. There will be the usual covering with cardboard and mulching with woodchip or other suitable mulch, and planting of trees and other plants on the day. A second job if there are lots of people will be to make an existing metal garden bed frame into a wicking bed for growing kitchen herbs.
Morning tea and lunch supplied. Note: Gluten free/vegan/non-allergenic food cannot be guaranteed.
